The 14th International Conference on Green and Energy-Efficient Building & New Technologies and Products Expo opened on the morning of April 2nd . During the opening ceremony, Jingzhou City was officially honored as “China-France Ecological Demonstration City” by Chinese Society for Urban Studies and French Building Science Technology Center (CSTB)!

For the purpose of deepen implementation of Strategic Co-operation Agreement on Urban Sustainable Development between China and France, working together to advancing the cooperation in terms of ecological city technology, , Jingzhou City signed the Memorandum of Understanding onChina (Jingzhou)-Germany Low-Carbon Ecological Demonstration City Cooperation Project with French Building Science Technology Center, Chinese Society for Urban Studies, and School of Life Sciences of University of Science and Technology of China to join hands to conduct cooperation in terms of ecological city technology in November 2017.

It is said that China (Jingzhou)-France Ecological City Project Demonstration Site is located within Ji’nan Eco-culture Tourism Area with a planning area of around 7.7 square kilometers. The planning formulation of China (Jingzhou)-France Ecological City projects includes six aspects, namely ecological indicator system, ecological environment system, green building special project, green transportation special project, space usage planning, and the establishment of sustainable capability.

This project introduces French advanced technologies to explore integration development methods involving space, transportation, resource, and environment with green ecology idea by analyzing ecological conditions, resource environment features,and the advantages of both Chinese and French policies to propose an available ecologicalcity construction indicator system which is suitable for the development characteristics of Jingzhou. It will finally be built as a high-standard green ecological demonstration area with ecological feature orientation and good environment which will be good for living and business.Meanwhile, China (Jingzhou)-GermanyEco-City Project will integrate the demonstration effect of China (Jingzhou)-GermanyEco-City in Northwest Jingzhou to co-build the China-Europe Ecological Tourism DemonstrationArea with “pleasant living environment, green tourism, and low-carbon industry”.
